If you have a minute, click this link and listen to this song. One of my favorite bands in the last 10 years was Copeland, and this is a song off their reunion album. It’s called ordinary, and I think it’s a pretty beautiful song. What i love so much about the song is the tension between contentment, serenity, anxiety and boredom. It could be both a love letter AND a break-up note. I really like it.
I DID buy swords and daggers in highschool, although it was hardly a dark time… unless by dark you mean the only light illuminating our family room was an old CRT tv projecting beautiful playstation one/nintendo 64 games into my brain. I played a lot of final fantasy/zelda and i guess i thought that it was a no brainer that a man should own an assortment of ridiculous bladed “weapons”. I tried to shave with the dagger (with the peach fuzz i had on my face i could shave with a Popsicle stick, so it wasn’t as cool an accomplishment as i thought). I’ve still got a couple daggers/swords kickin’ around the house, for DEFENSE PURPOSES. no, more because i still think they are cool. Diana assures me they are not. haha!
